Class action lawsuits were commenced in Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and British Columbia) against Honda and other automotive companies. The class actions relate to airbag inflators manufactured by Takata Corporation and TK Holdings, Inc., known as Takata PSAN Inflators.1 The class actions allege that the Takata PSAN Inflators installed in certain vehicles were defective, resulting in various damages to Class Members. Honda denies that it committed any violations of law, engaged in any unlawful act or conduct, or that it is liable for any such defects in Takata PSAN inflators.
Honda has undertaken certain Recalls2 relating to the Takata PSAN Inflators installed in Subject Vehicles, and has implemented a Recall Remedy to replace parts or perform other countermeasures to address the Takata PSAN Inflators in Subject Vehicles. The Settlement will become final after April 14, 2021, and Honda will provide the additional benefits described in the Settlement Agreement.
The deadline for opting out of this Settlement was November 20, 2020.

The Ontario Settlement Approval Order was registered with the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench on January 27, 2021 and with the British Columbia Supreme Court on March 15, 2021. You can see the Recognition Orders here.
